This redesign was for a research company specialising in civil engineering projects in Delft. The office space is located on the top floor of one of the city's most important buildings from the eighteenth century, with ceilings of wooden beams giving the space its characteristic appearance.
We created an interior that would complement the fresh, modern vigour of the company alongside a luxurious, traditional quality that suited the historic surroundings. The office areas, receiving very little natural light, were made to feel light and airy with bright, contemporary furniture, while the well-lit boardroom used darker colours and materials. Mid-century furniture in the communal areas tied all the spaces together, creating a coherent interior befitting both the modern company and its historic location.
