ABOUT
We created a series of graphic collages exploring the disjunctive nature of contemporary portraiture, where the notion of 'self' can be easily cut, copied and pasted to create an idealised montage of reality. Anonymity, distancing and structure are the themes in these collages. Anonymous and distant men and women without clear faces and motives play the main role in alienating architectural or undefined surroundings. They submerge in it and hide their true identities. Each print is a digital reproduction of the original hand-made collage, pasted onto 300 gsm watercolour paper, signed and numbered in a limited edition of ten. These prints are now available in our online shop.
