This apartment sits in one of Rotterdam's most beloved architectural highlights, designed by Dutch architect Willem Marinus Dudok in the 1930s, on one of the city's most fashionable streets. We wanted the house to breathe a sense of mid-century Europe with design classics such as the BR02 sofa by Martin Visser and a lounge chair by Pastoe. These beautiful pieces are combined with older and newer design furniture as well as vintage objects, tied together with original wooden floors throughout. By painting the walls in pale green tones we created a soft and warm atmosphere, against which the owner's collection of art, design and drawings, as well as a large collection of books and plants, could be displayed, including a floor-to-ceiling drawing by Dutch artist Anouk Griffioen in the dining area.
