ABOUT

HIKIKOMORI is an exhibition of new collages, which coincides with the new theatre piece of Studio de Bakkerij with the same name which premieres february 2017. Anonymity, distancing and structure are the themes in the collages of Sander van der Poort (STUDIO VAN DER POORT). This is linked to the phenomenon where (mostly japanese) adolescents lock themselves up like modern day hermits to escape the pressure and structure of society.
